In order to best serve you, we need to gather as much information as possible. We prefer to meet with you if possible, but we can certainly be briefed via telephone, email and/or fax. Our forms have been designed to organize your case history in a logical fashion and help a great deal in planning the project.

Should your case go to court, even to a Federal level, Legal Video Authority will have you prepared. We ONLY use AGCV Certified Legal Videographers  who were thouroghy trained to produce legal video that WILL comply with the Federal Rules of Procedure and the Federal Rules of Evidence, and we remain on the record until both sides agree to go off – this is also in accordance with the Pennsylvania Rule 4017.1 Video Depositions and Rule 501 Preservation of Testimony by Videotape Recording.

Pennsylvania was one of the first states to authorize videotape depositions adopted in April, 1973.

In accordance with Pennsylvania Rule 4017.1 The attorney for the party taking the deposition shall take custody of and be responsible for the safeguarding of the videotape and shall permit the viewing of and shall provide a copy of the videotape or the audio portion thereof upon the request and at the cost of a party.

When your deposition is completed and your evidence has been properly labeled, sealed and a Certificate of Authenticity is enclosed, we will delivery your ORIGINAL video along with the Objection & Colloquy log, and will be required to sign and return a Receipt for Official Video Document. Also, as a courtesy, we also provide the audio portion of the deposition on cassettes to the stenographer or Court Reporting Firm.

Legal Video Authority is an independent video production firm. That is important when it comes to being a “disinterested third party” Videographer. We can impartially videotape your deposition to satisfy the Federal and State Rules of Civil Procedure.

Legal Video Authority shall not be liable for damages, beyond the hourly fee being charged, for damaged or otherwise unacceptable video caused by circumstances beyond our control, including, but not limited to, equipment and/or tape cassette failure. Legal Video Authority is not responsible for acts of nature or acts of God. Legal Video Authority will not assume responsibility nor make any guarantees as to the results or outcome of the contracted project.

Montgomery, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Lehigh, and Philadelphia Counties.

Once we have reviewed your information and finalized your goals, we will require a deposit to begin scheduling. Our fees are based on a minimum that includes two hours on

location. Additional time is billed hourly. Please refer to the paragraphs below with regard to early access, cancellations, delays, no-shows and overtime and delivery.

As noted below, we understand that although some of our clients take contingency cases, our business requires payment in full for the products/services provided. Our terms are

C.O.D.

Feel free to contact us anytime. Hours for our standard rates are Monday through Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm, holidays excluded. If you require assistance on a holiday, ask us as far in advance as possible. It is imperative that we have access to your building, parking and depo room 1 hour prior to the start of taping. This allows adequate time to set up and to address any problems or obstacles before we are scheduled to begin taping. We do not charge for this part of our service unless we do not get the early access we requested.

While we understand that some of our clients take contingency cases, our business requires payment in full for the products/services provided. Our terms are C.O.D.

For Video Depositions and in most other instances, we arrive 1 hour early (which we do NOT charge for). Please be aware that we will need  access to the site for parking, unloading and for equipment set-up and testing prior to the start of video taping.  Time is needed to identify and attempt to correct any problems or obstacles prior to the start of taping. We do not believe you should pay for the setup time unless we are denied access per our request. If we arrive early and do not have the access agreed upon, charges will be applied for any setup time that encroaches into the contracted video time. Overtime is calculated at 1.5 times our standard rate and is applied in hourly increments. Of course we can also be booked on a Daily basis which can be discussed when you contact us with your requirements.

Legal Video Authority provides free local delivery within the Mongtomery, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Lehigh, and Philadelphia counties. We use UPS or Federal Express services for deliveries outside of these areas. Our Product is accompanied with an official “Receipt For A Video Document” that we require to be signed upon acceptance. Fully documenting the chain of evidence is vital. Once we deliver our product, we can no longer verify authenticity and therefore we strongly recommend safeguarding your video document with your own paper trail.

If Legal Video Authority receives notice of cancellation at least 24 hours before scheduled work, there is no charge. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled work our minimum two hour rate will be charged.

If we have left our office and have arrived at the location of the work and the work is called off, our minimum two hour rate will be charged.

Depositions tentatively scheduled for a certain time and date that we have been requested to be prepared to record are referred to as a “Stand By”. If cancelled prior to leaving our office, and no other work has been turned down, there will be no charge. However, if another business opportunity has been turned down our minimum rate will apply.

Any work that starts later than the scheduled time is referred to as a “delayed session”, and billing applies to the scheduled time regardless of how late the session starts.
